STEPS DANCE STUDIO NYC LAUNCHES STAGE COMBAT CLASSES FOR YOUNG PERFORMERS AND PROFESSIONALS

New York, NY – August 25, 2025 – Steps Dance Studio NYC, the Upper East Side's boutique dance and performance studio located off E 64th Street and First Avenue, is excited to announce a bold addition to its class lineup: Stage Combat, a dynamic theatrical training course that merges movement, acting, and storytelling through fight choreography.

Led by fight choreographer and studio co-manager Ethan Duncan, the weekly Saturday class teaches safe and stylized combat techniques used in professional theater, television, and film. Ethan is certified in rapier and dagger, has served as Fight Captain for seven live shows, and choreographed fight sequences for five additional productions. He will be the primary instructor and will invite guest teachers throughout the course to share expanded techniques and unique styles.

The class is open to students ages 12 and up, including adult professionals, and provides specialized training to make actors more competitive in auditions and performances. It is one of the only stage combat programs in Manhattan geared toward both youth and adults in a studio setting.
